8 Causes, Prevention and Treatments of Sole Pain in Fingers of Feet

Sole pain is happening between fingers of feet and heel. There can be many reasons for sole pain. Today I am going to share 8 causes, prevention, and treatments of sole pain between fingers of feet.

Causes of Sole Pain:-

Our soles experience large pressure during running, walking, standing in our whole life. Our foot contains 26 bones and ligaments which allow this to work as absorbed for liver. Foot pain may affect any part of a foot. This is between heels and fingers of a foot.

  1. Plantar Fasciitis:-

Plantar fasciitis is a thin web-like ligament that connects your heel to the front of your foot finger. It is one of the most common orthopedic complaints in which our ligaments experience a lot of wear and tears in our daily life and that results in swelling of sole tissues. According to a survey, a sole problem due to stretchiness or excess movement of the foot is mainly in athletes but sometimes wrong fitting shoes also cause sole pain because of pressure on foot while doing workout/ exercise or training session.

  1. Metatarsalgia or Arthritis:-

It is a condition in which all ball of your foot becomes painful. According to the Merck manual, this problem is due to poor circulation or joint pain like arthritis. In this situation, nerves are affected by Morton Neuroma or any tumor. Neuron injury can also be the reason of sole pain. Arthritis can affect any part of the foot.

  1. Fracture and Stress Fracture:-

Breakdown of any bone is called a fracture. This can be sudden evident or in evident. According to mayo clinic’s, stress fracture is due to excess stretch activities like running or jumping.  There is a sudden but in stress fracture, there is light pain and it increases with time.

  1. Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome:-

Tunnel syndrome in tibial nerves of the ankle is also the reason of sole pain. This is a compression or squeezing on a tibial nerve that produces symptoms anywhere along the path of nerve running from inside of ankle into a foot. Symptoms of this neurological problem include pain, tingling or numbness. Peoples suffering from diabetes, arthritis, flat foot experience this tarsal tunnel syndrome more than others.

  1. Plantar Warts or Corns:-

This infection is caused due to virus named as human papillomavirus.  In this condition, there are flat warts under feet. This virus enters the skin through any cut. Excess pressure on plantar causes lots of pain. Corns have a surface which is thick and callused and there will be no black dots. It the increases with increase in pressure and can lead to more pain.

  1. Treatment for Overcoming Sole Pain:-

Bottle massage therapy is very beneficial for people suffering from swelling or pain in soles of the foot. Keep a bottle filled one third with water in a freezer and when ice forms in it, then take out this from the freezer and clean the extra water on a bottle. Place this bottle on dry towel or doormat and keep your sole on a bottle and try to move the bottle back forth with the help of your soles. This will increase the blood circulation insoles and relax your bones. Repeat this process for 10-15 minutes.

  1. Acupressure Roller:-

Acupressure roller is very useful for overcoming foot pain. Run your foot over the entire foot roller slowly. Do this activity many times in a day and repeat this process for at least 2 minutes. Apply some powder before using the roller as it can make your moves easily.

  1. Massage:-

Pressing or massaging feet is also advantageous while massaging your foot for immediate relief. Press point in downwards direction of toe then put pressure on points near little finger of foot and finally press points on heels to get rid of this pain.
