Diarrhea causes by loose and watery stool often as a result of bacteria. Diarrhea has 2 main types, 1 is acute and 2nd is chronic. Acute diarrhea remains for few days only a response to infection, whereas chronic diarrhea remains for several weeks and sometimes is associated with an intestinal disease or disorder like Crohn’s diseases or celiac disease.

Diarrhea can come suddenly and sometimes hard to understand what the cause of this problem is. It is worst when feeling sick, groggy and afraid of not near to the bathroom or toilet. Sometimes patients feel embarrassed to talk about this situation with anyone, but they have to understand that without telling the problem it is not easy to fix it, so it’s better to share your problem with the doctor.

Diarrhea is an unpleasant experience which is basically a problem of loose and watery stool which occurs more frequently than a normal bowel movement. Frankly speaking, it stops in a few days but you have to try to control it because it can leave you dehydrated and put pressure on the body. Sometimes it lasts for several weeks and it can cause some serious health issues.

Diarrhea Causes because of having flu or eating that food which does not suit us, because of these two scenarios diarrhea happens.

Sometimes medicine also causes diarrhea especially the antibiotics as they don’t just remove bad but also good bacteria’s, and this leads to the disruption of bacteria’s in your intestines. This creates infection in the body which causes the changes in the bowel and you have to go to the bathroom again and again.

Taking too much of artificial sweetener or fructose (a type of sugar) also can upset the stomach as it is difficult for the body to break it out which upset the stomach and can cause soften stool problem as well.

Bacteria and virus are also the reason for diarrhea. Viral hepatitis, Salmonella, Norwalk virus, E. Coli etc. can also disrupt the digestion.

Signs and Symptoms of Diarrhea

Aside from sudden urge to watery stool or loose stool few other symptoms can accompany diarrhea as well and those symptoms are:- Cramping, Abdominal Pain, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever, and Bloating.

How to Control Diarrhea

Whenever you feel diarrhea is a serious situation, just visit and consult the doctor as soon as possible.

Be very aware of the diarrhea symptoms. If it is more then 2-3 days and you might have a fever too which is around 102 degrees Fahrenheit, and sometimes there is blood in your stools. Sometimes your stool color is tarry and black or you experience the severe rectal pain, go and consult the doctor. Avoid reaching to severe dehydration.

Whenever you go to pass stool your body losses some fluid with it. And if you are suffering from diarrhea than your body more fluid than normal which can put you on the risk of dehydration. So your action in diarrhea is to keep yourself hydrated as much as possible with fluids like water, juice or any liquid thing.

Another symptom of dehydrated is:- when you are feeling weak, excessive thirst, dry mouth or dry skin, and dark urine.

Always wash your hands before eating something as there are lots of bacteria’s in your hand and if you do not wash your hands before eating food, it can cause infection in your stomach and can cause diarrhea.

Diarrhea is not a pleasant thing and it can ruin your day and leave you in an uncomfortable situation which very tired and unwell, so it’s better for you to avoid abdominal cramping, unsettling gas, and trips to the washroom.

  1. More Water and Juice:-

Apple juice and water (mixed with a slight amount of sugar and salt in it) replace minerals and other nutrients which were lost due to diarrhea. Avoid citrus, tomato, pineapple and other juice which you can’t see through because acids in these juices can irritate your already inflamed intestines. Take small sips and take them in good quantity.

  1. Make Fresh Tea of Orange Peel:-

Orange peels help in digestion so you can take it as a traditional diarrhea remedy. Use fresh or organic orange peels only. Always wash the orange properly as it may contain pesticides or dyes in it.

Take some orange peels to wash them and chop them. Add a 1-2 glass of water and few pieces of orange peels and boil them, let it cover for sometimes and then rinse it and add some honey in it and drink.

  1. Add more Rice in Diet for Binding:-

Plain rice has the potential to show the binding effect on bowels. Eat them in small portions and avoid adding any refined oil or butter in until it recovers from diarrhea.

  1. Chamomile Tea is Good:-

Chamomile tea is known for its gentle relaxation qualities which can also calm the bouts of diarrhea. Chamomile tea attacks the problem from two sides, through compounds that ease the intestinal spasms and combat the inflammation.

  1. Honey is a Good Rescuer:-

Many studies show that honey helps to cure diarrhea. Add 4 tablespoons of honey (around 10 grams maximum) in a cup of hot water and let it cool for some time and then drink. It is very effective and soothes and relaxes your body.

  1. Drink Vinegar Water:-

Apple cider vinegar contains the antibiotic properties which help in fighting with a bacterial infection. Some studies also say that apple cider vinegar contains pectin in it which helps in soothe intestinal spasms.

  1. Use some Applesauce:-

Applesauce is the good source of pectin which helps to firm soft bowel movements. Spread the applesauce on the slice of dry bread toast and fill the snack with it and after taking it to feel comfortable.

  1. Stick to BRAT Diet:-

The BRAT diet is an effective way to the treatment of diarrhea and upset stomach. It relies on the bland, low-fiber foods which help your stool become firmer.

Applesauce, tea, bananas, dry toast, and plain rice are the perfect brat diet. These foods are the safest food when you are fighting with diarrhea and suffering from loose motion, it will help you feel nourish.

  1. Drink Buttermilk:-

Butter has an ayurvedic healing approach. Add a half spoon of dry ginger in a cup of buttermilk and drink it three to four times a day. Buttermilk is on the best remedy in the problem of diarrhea.

  • Add Brew Caraway Tea:-

To calm and reduce the intestinal spasms and discomforts that accompany diarrhea, you should try the caraway tea. Add caraway seeds in the one cup of boiled water and let it cool down for 15 minutes and drink. It will soothe and give comfort to the problem of diarrhea.
