  1. Ginger:-

Ginger is an effective remedy for a whooping cough because it contains antibacterial properties that help to destroy bacteria which cause this problem. Also, it promotes immunity and helps to fight the infection and we recover quickly.

Consume two spoons of fresh ginger juice by mixing with raw honey. Take this twice a day for some time or, mix an equal amount of ginger juice, lemon juice, and onion juice. Drink this mixture 2 to 3 times a day. Also, boil two spoons of fenugreek seeds in 2 cups of water until it reduces to half quantity. Now add 1 spoon of fresh ginger juice and some honey in it. Drink this solution once daily for a few days to get rid of Whooping Cold and Cough.

  1. Turmeric:-

Turmeric has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties that cure a whooping cough. Also, it has a great effect on cough, especially on a dry cough. Turmeric is having immune boosting properties which help your body to fight with infection.

Mix 1 spoon of raw honey and half spoon of turmeric powder and take it twice daily until you get complete relief from Whooping Cold and Cough.  Another option is to drink hot milk mixed with half spoon of turmeric powder twice a day. You can also take 2 spoons of garlic syrup per day. But in case of children’s, use one or a half spoon of it. Mix 2 cups of water, apple cider vinegar and 500 grams of crushed garlic. Now put this in a glass cup and keep it for 4-5 hours then strain it and drink it after mixing a half cup of honey in it.

  1. Honey:-

Honey has anti-septic, anti-bacterial and healing properties which helps fight bacteria and cures its symptoms. Add 1 spoon of raw honey in one glass of hot water and drink it slowly. Repeat this 2-3 times a day. This has a positive effect on the throat.

1 spoon of raw honey with half spoon cinnamon powder before going to bed. This will help you to sleep better. Also, you can mix one spoon of raw honey with radish juice. Add a pinch of rock salt and take this 3 times a day.

  1. Oregano:-

Oregano is a very effective remedy respiratory infections like a whooping cough. This contains anti-spasmodic antibacterial and expectorant characteristics that help clear mucus from lungs and cures dry coughing.

Boil some water and add 3 to 6 drops of oregano oil to it. Cover your head with a towel and inhale the steam. Use this home remedy for 2-3 times a day for few days or, you can mix 10-15 drops of oregano oil in 2 spoons of olive oil. Use this to massage your chest before going to bed/sleep this will comfort you. Moreover, you can drink oregano tea 2-3 times a day.

  1. Lemon:-

Lemon is very useful in treating whooping cough naturally. It has citric acid which reduces the thickness of mucus. Moreover, it has powerful antibacterial and antiviral l properties which fight with infections. It also has vitamin C which increases the immunity of the body.

Mix two spoons of lemon juice in one glass of hot water and add some raw honey in it. Drink this 3-4 times a day. You can also take a half lemon and sprinkle salt black pepper over it. Now, link it slowly. This will comfort your infected throat.

Licorice acts as demulcent which means that it coats the throat with a thin layer of mucilage to protect us from coughing. Moreover, it clears congestion from the lungs and bronchial tubes.

Put 1 spoon of licorice root powder in 2 cups of water then boil it. Now let it cool down for 10 minutes and then drink this after filtering the mixture. Take this once daily for a few days or, you can take half spoon of licorice powder mixed with honey thrice a day.

Almonds and nuts are very beneficial for curing whooping cough. These are rich in photochemical and antioxidants which help reduce the symptoms of a cough. Almonds also have immunity boosting properties.

Mix 5 drops of almond oil in 10 drops of fresh onion juice and ginger juice. Take this mixed juice 3 times a day or, soak 5-7 almonds in water overnight. Remove peels and grind the almonds to make paste/ or eat it simply 3 times a day having/adding 1 spoon of butter in it. Also, massage your chest with one spoon of almond oil mixed with 4-5 drops of rosemary oil.

  1. Chamomile Tea:-

Regular usage of chamomile tea also relieved from symptoms of a whooping cough. This herb has soothing, anti-inflammatory and immune boosting properties which reduce symptoms and promotes immediate recovery.

Boil 1 or 2 spoons chamomile flower (up to you) in one cup of water. Cool this mixture and filter it. Add lemon juice and honey into this liquid. Drink this slowly 2-3 times a day.

Additional Tips:-

Drink 1-2 glasses of grape juice daily till you are suffering from it. It promotes the healing process. Mix 2 spoons of raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar in 1 cup of water. Now add some honey in it, use this 2-3 times a day. Avoid going in excessive hot or cool weather because it worsens the situation.

Do rest properly for immediate recovery. Consume fluids like water, juice, and soups etc. This keeps you hydrated.

Cover your mouth while coughing and clean your hands.

Put a mask on your face before going outside.
