10 Natural Muscle Pain Remedies

Cold Pack for Muscle Pain

Using a cold pack over the affected area reduces pain and inflammation. 

  • Put a few ice cubes in towels and tie.
  • Place the ice pack over the affected area for 15 minutes.
  • Repeat every hour till the pain is relieved.

 

Hot Water for Muscle Pain

Hot water increases blood flow in the body, which supports the healing process of the affected area. 

  • Fill your bathtub with hot water and dissolve one cup of rock salt in the bath. Rock salt contains magnesium, which supports muscle relief.
  • Now sit in that water for at least 20 minutes.
  • Repeat hot baths at least two times per day for a few days.

    Tart Cherry for Muscle Pain

Pain in the body or muscles after exercise is removed with the help of tart cherry.

    • Drink 1½ cup of the tart cherry after everyday exercise and heavy workout.
    • Have one cup of tart cherry juice sugar in it.

 

Turmeric for Muscle Pain

Turmeric works as a powerful pain reducer and an anti-inflammatory agent. Mix one teaspoon of turmeric powder in one cup of milk. Heat till warm. Drink it slowly a few times a day. Or make a paste of fresh turmeric powder, salt, and lemon juice. Now apply it to the troubled area for 30 minutes and then wash off with warm water. Repeat a few times daily till the pain is gone.

Ginger for Muscle Pain

Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory agent and increases blood flow in the body, which supports getting relief from pain.

Tie four spoons of ground gingers in a cotton cloth tightly. Dip it in hot water for one minute and keep it on the affected area for 15 minutes. Use this remedy for 2-4 times a day regularly till the pain is gone.

    • Or, drink a solution made from mixing of one glass hot water, one spoon ginger juice, and apple cider vinegar. Drink it every day for relief.

Cayenne Pepper for Muscle Pain

Mix one spoon cayenne pepper powder in three spoons of olive oil. Apply it to the painful area. Now tie a cloth on it and keep it for the whole night. Use this remedy for a minimum of 2-3 days. Or, mix five spoons of cayenne pepper powder in 1 ½ cup of coconut oil. Now make it a little warm and keep it for 24 hours. After 24 hours, filter it and store it in an airtight jar. Do massage your muscles every day with this oil.

    • Eating cayenne pepper powder by mixing it in food daily is also helpful.

Rosemary for Muscle Pain

Dry of fresh leaves, both types of rosemary leaves have anti-inflammatory properties that provide relief to muscles and reduces body ache.

  • Boil 100mg rosemary leaves in 8 cups of water.
  • Then cool it for 20 minutes.
  • After cooling, soak the sensitive organ in this mixture for 15 minutes.
  • Use this remedy for a few times a day for 2-3 days.                                             Mustard Oil for Muscle Pain

Mustard oil increases blood circulation when applied to the skin surface. It reduces the rigidness of muscles, blood flow increases, and pain improves.

Garlic for Muscle Pain

    • Heat 2 garlic cloves in 6 spoons of mustard oil till their color turns golden brown.
    • Now put small camphor in it (optional).
    • Cool it and then filter it.
    • Now apply this oil on painful area and massage slowly.
    • Repeat it 2-3 times a day.

Bananas for Muscle Pain

Bananas are very beneficial for healing muscle pain and body ache caused due to inflammation. They are rich in potassium. Deficiency of potassium can cause weakness in muscles, inflammation starts occurring, and you start feeling exhausted.
